Pour tous les petits mulots

A little mousie brought to me by...my cat! So of course I freed the little critter and rewarded my cat Hanuman with lots of kibble (so he wouldn't be mad at me for stealing his desert!=]).
Unfortunately for him I just happen to LOVE mice of all sorts and all rodents in general... and I think they deserve to live as much as anyone else.
Anyway after being left in a quiet and warm place (my living room!), the little vole began to nibble at the piece of pear I'd placed in the basket. It enjoyed it so much it asked for more!

I just released it outside a few hours ago and although it had been wounded a little (a few drops of blood on the side), it had definitely recovered and the wound will heal in not time. I saw little mousie off as it was scampering about to find a nice shelter for the night before getting back home! I'm keeping the cats inside until tomorrow morning at least!
This was not the first (and I'm afraid not the last) that I will try to save and whenever I see the result I feel it was really worth trying, even when the mouse is already in my cat's mouth and about to give up...
